Lauren Anne Eskenazi was born and raised on Long Island.   She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Adelphi University where she received her Master’s Degree in Social Work.

Lauren is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor.  She has worked in a psychiatric hospital since 2011 with a variety of populations, from adults to adolescents who struggle with substance abuse problems, severe mental health issues and personality disorders.  By counseling in a compassionate, judgment-free environment, individuals, couples and families can gain insight into their problems and be empowered to make changes.   Lauren’s patients are empowered to overcome obstacles and break unhealthy patterns of behavior that can leave them feeling defeated and trapped.

Lauren is passionate about seeing lives changed.  By using an eclectic therapeutic approach, Lauren helps her patients get to the core issues that negatively impact daily functioning and self esteem,  and put an end to their influence over their emotions and life choices.

In working with Lauren, you will address the pain, anger and maladaptive behaviors within families as well as the frustration and poor communication between partners; the trauma and internal struggles that have continued to impact you daily will be addressed in a safe environment so healing and growth can take place.  By helping her patients find a breakthrough, they are able to walk in confidence and find the resolution that brings them peace.
